Why Use PhotoJoy?

Social media doesn't have to be addictive or toxic. PhotoJoy is resetting social to re-connect you with loved ones and build a better community.

  • Ad-Free

Does it feel like ads are taking over? More get jammed into your life every day. PhotoJoy never shows ads to anyone. Ever.

  • Pay to Post

To keep our servers on and our community running ad-free, we charge a small annual fee to post photos. Viewers never pay.

  • Non-Profit Organization

We are powered by our users, and do not have owners or shareholders. This lets us build the best community, not the most profitable one.

  • Safety First

We only collect the basic info needed for you to use the app. Data stays securely on our servers and is never shared or sold

  • Close Friends Only

With a limit of 99 friends, you only see your loved ones. Not influencers or that girl you sat near in high school.

  • Still Social

Post photos, react, comment, and connect. No fads or experimental features. Just be social, without endless scrolling and distractions.

Transparency Reports

As a community-driven non-profit organization, we believe in being transparent and accountable.

We launched in November 2023, and will create our first transparency report in January 2024. These reports will highlight where our funding comes from (spoiler: our users!), what we're spending it on, and general health and plans for the community.

Pricing

Unlike other apps, PhotoJoy doesn't show ads or sell your information. Instead, we have simple fees that sustain our community.
